Great to see could not go in but it looks worth a visit. Good to see it's context and walked around the coast.
It takes 2.5 to 3 hours to visit to tour the citadel and the 2 museums. The wealth of audio and written explanations allows a perfect understanding of what the creation of sea rescue and the East India Company was. I learned that Lorient dates from this period, for example. Not to miss

The Citadel of Port-Louis, an essential place to visit and discover the views towards Lorient, the submarine base and Île de Groix, etc… Discover the wonders of the East India Company museum, and many other things…
No waiting in this bordering desert month of May on the citadel! Very beautiful view from both sides, the museums are really worth the visit! Small adjoining beach with its period cabins. We highly recommend.
Very beautiful citadel, to access it, you have to pay 10 euros and you have access to the two museums, you can see Larmor-Plage
You must come and visit the maritime museum, in this place, the Citadel of Port Louis, because you can see various paintings representing the trade of slave ships, traveling the oceans in the last century.
To visit without hesitation!
We visited as a family with the stroller and it was no problem.
The museum is super interesting and the visit to the walls and the views are just incredible.
The welcome is incredible both from the staff and the security team.
People under 26 benefit from free admission.
Of course even if I took a lot of photos....
